MENLO PARK, Calif. (March 20, 1998) -- Be, Inc. announces today the winners of its most recent Masters Awards competition. The Masters Awards is an ongoing contest presented by Be to recognize developers of innovative BeOS applications. Winners in Commercial, Shareware and Freeware, and Student categories were each awarded two processor Intel Pentium based personal computers. "Many platforms have been validated by the creative, nimble developers that can embrace new technology.", said Jean-Louis Gassée, CEO of Be. "With these awards, we gratefully take off our hat to the innovators and the risk takers." Honorable mentions were also named in all categories.
