Cycore Computers - - Cykár AB. Cult3D® Animation available for BeOS® Platform
Comdex, Las Vegas, Nevada - November 14, 1998 -- Cycore Computers,
Sweden-based developer of special effects software solutions for the film
and computer industries, today announced that Cult3D Animation, the
industry's first software-only, real-time 3D rendering engine, is now
compatible with the BeOS platform. Cult3D automatically generates Java
code, allowing designers with little or no programming experience to create
complex animations that can be downloaded in real-time by even
low-bandwidth systems, including 28.8 modems.
Cult3D Animation is a technological breakthrough that will dramatically
change the whole way of using the Internet. Cult3D Animation lets users
create fully functional "Virtual Products" that can be tried out on the
Web, and lets scientists create complex interactive simulations that can be
shared online for educational purpose. Cult3D is a real-time, software
only, multi-platform 3D-rendering engine. Cult3D Animation allows fully
animated 3D scenes from simple objects to advanced sequences of motions.
With built-in compression and streaming, the Cult3D Animation file format
is small and efficient. This results in faster downloads and progressive
viewing.
"For a technology like Cult3D, BeOS is a fresh and powerful operating
system. Cult3D Animation and BeOS represent a perfect fit for the good of
Internet users," said CEO Jerry Petterson.
"Cycore Computers is a perfect partner in the content creation and
animation world," says Christophe Droulers, Director Developer Relations
Europe, "moving to the BeOS is great news for creators of interactive
3D-scenes with sound, which can be incorporated into any HTML page."
The BeOS and Cult3D technology will be shown at Comdex Fall in Las Vegas,
November 16 through 20 on Be, Incorporated's booth (S7114).
You may also visit Cycore at Comdex Fall in Las Vegas in the Sands
