DataTranslations: better than a babel fish in your ear.

Do you speak JPEG?

Fortunately, thanks to DataTranslations, you don't have to. DataTranslations is your control panel for the data translators installed on your machine. Savvy BeOS applications that subscribe to the available translators automatically can handle files of those types. So, if you're writing an image display program, you don't have to write your own JPEG or TIFF translators - just tell your app to use the available translators.

Use DataTranslations to set options for the various translators. For example, set the output quality of the JPEG Translator to Low, High or somewhere inbetween.

Visit BeWare to add translators to those included with the BeOS.
