So, you've installed the BeOS, and been impressed with our lightweight object embedding technology, Replicants. What could be cooler than dragging your web browser's window onto your Desktop, where you can see it all the time, including any updates that happen to the page you're viewing. It's sort of like getting PointCast for free with NetPositive. It's cool, that is, until you want it to go away. You click on the Replicant window and hit the delete key, you drag it to the Trash. Grrrr, nothing works! How the heck do you delete Replicants from the Desktop, anyway?!?!! It is actually simple, if a little less intuitive than it might be. Just follow these short steps:
Your Replicant's window will disappear, until the next time you need to put ESPN's SportsCenter page on your Desktop. |
