Replicants

Replicants let you embed applications directly into your desktop. For example, if you're fascinated by clocks, you could launch the "Clock" application, have Tracker show replicants, then drag the clock into your desktop. Now, as if joined by some bizarre California marriage ritual, they are one. It will be there whenever you restart your machine. Drag windows over it without problem. Yet, it remains responsive to interaction. Shown above, the allPossibleImages and SineClock applications have become Replicated, along with NetPositive, the web browser included with the BeOS.
