It keeps rebooting

Situation:

The BeOS boot floppy starts booting and gets to the part about "Uncompreessing the BeOS boot loader" and promptly reboots.

Resolution:

This is usually because of an original Cyrix 6x86 (non-MX) processor. This specific incarnation of that processor is not supported. Another possible cause is an unsupported motherboard chipset (a.k.a. glue chipset). Supported motherboard chipsets are on the ready list.
