EMU 10k

Situation:

The EMU 10k chipset driver was documented in Release 4.5 written documentation, but is not listed as compatible on the ready list. What gives? [Any source on the net] said it would be supported!

The driver was originally scheduled to be released with Release 4.5, but is instead included with the Release 4.5.1 and 4.5.2 updates, available here.

There are 4 places to watch for legitimate drivers to any device:

• The BeOS updates page
• BeDepot (...and SoftwareValet if you registered the BeOS with SoftwareValet)
• BeWare
• The corresponding manufacturer's web site.

  Thanks for your understanding. Trust me, we're working on it as fast as we can and then some. Don't be misled, any driver or piece of software isn't for real until it's officially documented and available from the Be web site, whether it was in the beta or not.
