This program is structured to fit the needs of our partners who build
devices that deliver information and entertainment over the web using a
BeIA software solution.
Companies who develop software for BeOS desktop PCs are encouraged to
take advantage of free resources like BeOS Personal Edition, BeOS development tools, and more. It is possible to create quality BeOS software without paying a dime. Only BeOS
Developers who require technical support may find the Partner Program
useful.
Companies who have funding to develop a BeIA or BeOS project that requires some of the membership benefits listed below are encouraged to apply to Be's Partner Program.
The person who completes Be's Qualification Form becomes Be's main contact for the company . Each main contact must sign a Partner Program NDA and Service Agreement as part of the final acceptance procedure. The main contact may distribute their company's membership ID and password to 5 employees in their company so they can take advantage of the services provided in the Partner Area of our web site. The main contact will be informed when it is time for their annual membership review.

Sample code, build tools, and collateral are made available to partners
in kits that are targeted to your needs. Whether you are building an
Entertainment Appliance with a dedicated application which
runs on a hard disk, or an Information Appliance that uses a
web-based interface as the main UI and requires a small memory
footprint, you'll find what you need in our BeIA Developer Kits.
- Technical Support Query Form
Receive quick responses to an unlimited number of your questions via the
online technical support query system. ($200/hr.)
- Hardware/Software Verification
Verify that your hardware or software is compliant with Be's software.
Send your product to us, and we will do up to 5 tests and return the
results to you. ($200/hr.)
- Bug Database
Submit bugs and feature requests to our engineering staff and keep an
eye on their status.
- UI Design Our UI design consultants can help you design a user
interface for your
Internet appliance or Entertainment device. ($200/hr.)
- Software Development Contact a Be Software Developer if you
are interested in a driver or application you find on a site such as
BeBits. Or have a specific driver or a custom application developed for you by a Be employee. ($200/hr.)
