Be Incorporated Will Demonstrate BeOS Applications at ECTS
Applications Include Audio, Games, Video and Internet Appliances
LONDON, September 1, 1999 - Be Incorporated (Nasdaq: BEOS),
developer of BeOS®, the operating system designed for digital media
applications and Internet appliances, today announced that it will
demonstrate multiple applications for BeOS at the ECTS '99 Conference
September 5-7, 1999 at Olympia Exhibition Centre in London. Audio, games
and video applications as well as Internet appliances pre-installed with
BeOS will be demonstrated at the booth (# N190).
"We are very excited about the myriad of applications being
developed for BeOS," said Jean Calmon, vice president and general
manager, Europe at Be, Inc. "The multitude of applications including
audio, video and games really show-off the digital media capabilities of
the BeOS architecture. Also, BeOS' modular design was built as an
Internet-native system with core operating system services that
specifically handle digital media in a way that is ideally suited for the
Internet appliances market. The coming months promise to be exciting for
both Be and consumers as these applications come to market."
New applications being demonstrated by Be, Inc. at the show include:
