AST(R) Computers has begun shipping its first BeOS-equipped PC -- the
AST PREMIUM 2000Be.
Three base systems are available depending on your requirements: The
Value System, the Professional System, and the Performance
System. These systems have configurations of one or two Intel(R)
Pentium(R) II or III processors up to 600 MHz. The Value System configured
with a single Pentium III processor starts at less than $2,000.
These systems come with both BeOS Release 4.5 and Windows NT Workstation 4.0
pre-installed for user convenience. The Be boot loader, also pre-installed,
allows users to easily switch between operating systems at startup time. It
also includes a full version of the next-generation integrated productivity
tool application for BeOS, Gobe Productive.
These desktop powerhouses are available now directly from AST Computers
at http://www.ast.com/beos/. The
PREMIUM 2000Be systems are configured-to-order, enabling AST to satisfy the specific
business requirements of their customers.
Limited Time Discount
In association with Be, Inc., AST is providing a 5% discount to members
of Be User Groups. This discount can be used to purchase any AST Premium
2000Be system. This offer is good from September 1, 1999 through September
30th, 1999. There is a limit of one computer per user.
Those who wish to take advantage of this offer should have the BUG
President email the full name of the BUG member who is interested, their
contact information (email address, mailing address, and phone number), and

with a subject line that reads AST BUG DISCOUNT, wait for a confirmation
