Senior Kernel Engineer Needed in Menlo Park, California Group: Software Engineering: Kernel Type: Full-Time Job ID: 00025 Description Help lead the development of the best OS kernel around! Responsibilities The candidate will take part in core level kernel & kernel module development. It consists of architecting and implementing new kernel services as well as improving existing ones. Examples of core kernel development include modifying driver model or rewriting the VM layer. Examples of kernel module development include writing file systems, drivers, and bus managers. Requirements - Excellent knowledge of C - At least 3 years professional experience of kernel level programming required - Excellent understanding of synchronization issues in a multithreaded/multiprocessor environment - Good Knowledge of legacy PC architecture, including x86 architecture and industry standard PC busses (ISA, PCI, USB, PCMCIA, 1394) - a BS is recommended but not strictly required New Search | Apply Online
