Graphic Designer Needed in Menlo Park, California Group: Marketing Type: Full-Time Job ID: 00014 Description We're looking for someone who wants to help define and implement our corporate identity through printed materials, presentations, web graphics, exhibits, t-shirts and just about every medium in existence. If this sounds like you, read on. Responsibilities The graphic designer will have responsibility for implementing Be's corporate identity through the look and feel of collateral material and other graphic related projects. This individual will have responsibility for the design and layout of collateral (data sheets, corporate brochures, presentions), web graphics (static images, animations), signage and other components of trade show exhibits, and a variety of other items (apparel, giveaways). The graphic designer will work with a number of external firms, including trade show booth builders, brand identity consultants, design firms and others. This position reports to the Director of Marketing communications. Requirements The candidate should be extremely skilled in art and design/typography, with an artistic educational background and/or related degree. We're looking for two to four years' practical work experience. You should know QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop better than some of your own relatives, and realize the importance of curly quotes. Experience with web authoring tools, especially Macromedia Flash, is a plus. Previous experience as a designer in a publishing environment is preferred. Comprehensive design knowledge including use of four-color, typography, layout and concept development. When You Apply...
