Browser Front Man Needed in Menlo Park, California Group: Software Engineering: Applications Type: Full-Time Job ID: 00038 Description Primary architect of Be's web browser Responsibilities The Browser Front Man must take the reigns of our appliance-focused web browser. His or her job will be to provide the primary technical vision for the browser, and implement a significant chunk of that vision. Duties include maintenance of our adherence to web "standards", as well as working with our design team to explore new and more compelling ways of presenting web-based and web-derived information, and everything in between. Requirements 2-4 years experience in application development. Excellent C/C++ skills. Desire to create a highly polished product, and the ability to get dirty and do the work neccessary to create it. Experience with HTML, Javascript, XML, multithreaded programming models, and the BeOS are bonuses. Must not be intimidated by a large code base or distracted by the presence of Norwegian comments.
