JavaScript Wizard Needed in Menlo Park, California Group: User Experience/ Engineering Type: Full-Time Job ID: 00071 Description Be’s expanding User Experience team is looking for a JavaScript wizard. We’re not just talking simple charms like rollovers and pop-up windows. You must be able to bend space, time, and HTML with substantial client-side incantations. We’re talking full-fledge layout engines, dynamic content regeneration, OS integration… and other spells too complex to mention. Responsibilities The User Experience team’s sorcery division is responsible for mixing the potions that bind the powerful BEIA operating system foundation with its fully -customizable HTML frontend. As a JavaScript wizard, you’ll need to collaborate with Be’s scooter-toting Apps team to understand and integrate their latest gizmos and browser enhancements. On the other side of your brain, you’ll be working in the midst of the throbbing creative environment that is the UX group, breathing life to concept sketches and PhotoShop mockups. Consequently, it helps to have experience with (and/or sensitivity toward) visual design, usability principles, and cheap Chinese food. Requirements We’re also looking for experience/ familiarity with C++ (the ten-cylinder-engine at the heart of BEAI), XML and other Hot Technologies (TM), and a charming disposition.
