Senior Network Engineer Needed in Menlo Park, California Group: Software: Web Technology Type: Full-Time Job ID: 00050 Description The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and integrity of a large servers platform, including server performance, scalability issues, loadtesting, hardware/software connectivity standards, networking issues and WWW security. Responsibilities Internet, network and system capacity planning. System Performance network and system problems Implement recovery procedures Investigate new architectural solutions Analyze performance metrics Monitor security framework Support Co-location Facilities, 24x7 operational support Requirements The candidate will have a Working knowledge of Internet servers, network architecture, and database system management. He/she will have experience installing and configuring Unix/Linux systems, network capacity planning and Web site and management utilities (TCP/IP traffic, firewall, DNS...), required. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of Unix administration; extensive experience with Linux, 24x7 web site and networking production environment.
